All tobacco contains nicotine, which is a powerful substance. If you smoke cigarettes over a period of time, your body gets used to having a certain level of nicotine in the bloodstream, and when the level drops, you develop a craving to smoke again.

Nicotine fulfills many needs. It stimulates and energizes, and it also relaxes. While these are opposite reactions, you learn how to achieve either effect by the way you drag on the cigarette. You may find that if you are hungry, smoking fills your need for food. If you are angry, sad, frustrated, or lonely it soothes you. Smoking a cigarette has relieved physical pain.

This is why some people gain weight when they quit smoking. When you feel angry, smoking can soothe you and calm you down. Smoking has even been known to relieve physical pain. Some people use food as a reward and some people use smoking to reward themselves for an achievement. From what we’ve talked about, smoking sounds like some sort of miracle cure.

The reason why you might feel all of these feeling are because nicotine can travel to your brain at a rapid rate. Even from one puff of smoke, you chemicals that are released into your blood stream will activate your brain to give you the effect that you want. However, there are harmful effects to smoking. Your heart is working harder, your blood pressure increase and your arteries constrict. Once you become dependent on this drug, you will smoke more and more to get the feeling that you desire.

The nicotine chemical is so powerful that it can control people’s lives. If you don’t feel like you are addicted, think about the times you’ve gone out into the freezing cold to buy a box of cigarettes. How about the times you’ve had a bad cold and have smoked, even though you know it will cause you to cough more?

Now that you know how powerful nicotine is, you can start to learn how to quit smoking. Quitting cold turkey is very hard and you will experience nicotine withdrawal. When trying to quit smoking, the first thing that you have to acknowledge is that nicotine kills, it actually brings death to millions of people each and every year and that you can easily become its next victim if you dont take action right now and do something about it. Today we would like to share some thoughts about getting rid of tobacco addiction.

Smoking cessation is a process that totally depends upon your will, your character and attitude. You have to make commitments when you are striving to obtain things in life. Overcoming nicotine dependence means that you want a better health and you aim at changing something directly in what you do on a daily basis. Most of the people that smoke are unhappy and they think that cigarettes are going to help them in a way or another. Oh boy ” they are so wrong!

When attempting to overcome smoking, the first step that people have to make is to raise their heads and look around. Observe what is going on! Notice the extremely obscure secondary effects of smoking and nicotine on human beings. Did you actually know that every eight seconds someone dies because of tobacco? Do you want to be the next? Well, if you dont then you have to follow carefully what we have to say.

So while we focus on the first step that is absolutely necessary when trying to sculpt the proper attitude that is going to be the foundation in your quit smoking plan, it is also necessary to mention that for some people quitting smoking is a matter of days and even hours, if they get the main idea. In order to quit smoking you have to change your way of life by changing the way you think. You have to start living differently and you have to start promoting different values.

Psychologists claim that getting involved a little bit into studying death statistics strictly related to smoking and cancer can inspire a lot of people to put a final stop to this addiction and start a new life. When we are young and strong we think that nothing can harm us but when we stumble upon the first serious health problems in life we realize that we are nothing but mortals.

Being extremely busy with different tasks is very important when trying to get rid of this killing habit. Just continuously do something in order to avoid finding spare time for smoking a cigarette. Forget about it. Don’t even try to think about the existence of tobacco.

People cant live without air, water and food but definitely can exist without tobacco! So why do people still smoke these days? Do they think this is so cool? Arent teenagers told about the secondary effects of smoking in schools, colleges and universities? Well, something odd is going on and we think its all about human ignorance and stupidity.

If you want to get rid of smoking you have to take action. If you want to be healthy you have to think about your health. If you want to succeed in life you have to work hard. Basically, you have to pay for everything you do. Miracles happen, but dont live with the illusion to run upon them at each corner. Be more realistic. If you are not going to quit smoking today you risk losing the potential to have kids. Dont let that happen. Think about your future. Quit smoking now!
